Services
CBCS has been providing fire safety and building management solutions to Wellington and the surrounding areas since 2005. We provide many different services; read more about them below.
Audit Reports & Building Compliance Advice
We are able to offer reports and advice in almost every aspect of building compliance. We have a wide range of experience in all aspects of auditing and compliance. CBCS will recommend when the input of other professionals, such as a structural engineer, is required to give a full analysis of the building
Long Term Maintenance Plans (LTMP’s)
A requirement of The Unit Titles Act is that all unit titled buildings have an LTMP for the ongoing amenity and maintenance of the building. CBCS has developed many thorough reports in consultation with other industry professionals such as engineers, ventilation experts, electricians etc. This allows us to give a detailed report that will provide an accurate assessment of the building, without leaving room for costly and unpleasant surprises.
Expert Witness
Our director has had considerable experience as an expert witness, especially in the area of council liability and has assisted in some of the most high-profile building cases in the country. The value of our expertise has been acknowledged by several of New Zealand’s leading legal firms.
Fire Reports
Our fire reports for building consent applications are a cornerstone of the CBCS business, and our experience in this area has enabled us to provide timely, practical reports for a wide range of building and building consent applications. CBCS draws on a deep pool of experience in fire design providing reports that are practical and effective in proposing compliance with the Building Code. Often these reports need to propose performance, ‘as nearly as reasonably practicable’ that satisfies the requirements of council and the needs of the client.
Project Management
CBCS Ltd has successfully managed several projects, particularly for weather tightness remediation. We have developed industry leading Quality Assurance schedules that provide robust evidence of oversight for projects. The use of accurate QA documents allows effective project management of the construction process and allows the swift issue of the Code Compliance Certificate.
